This Godin LGX-3 XT Is a bit of a rare one and had a plethora of issues. Apart from being in dire need of a setup to get it playing properly again, it had developed issues with the electronics that had been made much worse in the hands of some less experienced techs. When it came to me, it made absolutely no sound at all! In the end, both jacks had been broken, one transistor had been fried, The IC chip on the board had been torn out and the tracks useless and 5 of the 6 bridge piezos had their wires torn out! Please make sure that whomever you bring your prized instrument actually knows what they’re doing, or at least is honest enough to tell you when it not something they can handle. This clients invoice could have been a lot smaller if I didn’t have to repair lots of other bad attempts! Click to see some of the damage…
